I endeavour to create a nurturing and peaceful retreat for dogs of all breeds in a quiet, rural location. Your dog will stay with me in my home, not kennels. I keep numbers low to enable each dog to receive individual attention and reassurance and calm supervision at all times.
I provide lots of enriching activities including multiple daily walks and exploration, gentle play, an abundance of dog toys and use of the paddling pools in the warmer weather.

Licensing and Standards
Licensed by the local authority and awarded a 4-star rating on first inspection. A 5-star rating can be awarded after one year of operation.

I’ve cared for animals for as long as I can remember, dogs, horses, cows - you name it! Animal care isn’t just something I do, it’s been a constant part of my everyday life.
Over the years, I’ve developed a deep understanding of animal behaviour, welfare, and individual needs, along with the patience, reliability, and intuition that comes from a lifetime spent around animals. I take great pride in providing calm, attentive, and compassionate care, always putting the wellbeing of the dog first.

Health, Welfare & Suitability
I can only accept fully vaccinated dogs, including Leptospirosis. Flea and worming treatments must be up to date. Dogs must be suitable for a calm, home-based environment. Emergency contact, vet details and signed consent form are required before boarding.
Emergency Procedures
Written emergency procedures are in place and can be seen upon request. In an emergency, the dog's welfare comes first. Owners are contacted immediately and veterinary treatment sought without delay if required. Dogs will be transported safely to the vet with your signed consent upon booking.
Meet & Greet
A mandatory, free of charge meet and greet session must be booked prior to your dog's stay at Frome Valley Retreat. This is to ensure your dog is happy and comfortable before being left for an extended period of time. Please note if you are booking for a long stay and I feel your dog needs more time to settle, I will request that you book a one-off overnight stay prior to you leaving them for a longer period.
Bookings, Payments & Terms
A 50% deposit is required to secure your chosen dates. The remaining balance is due on arrival.
The deposit is retained if you cancel your booking with 14 days notice, if you cancel within 14 days of your booking you will be required to pay for the full stay.
I cannot offer refunds for early returns or shortened stays.
